Having drooled over the fine examples of seventy years of album covers in THE ART OF THE ALBUM COVER, you may feel inclined to have a go yourself. Maybe you’d like to try your hand at designing your own CD package or are brave enough to try creating a twelve-inch-square album cover. You might even have a band or group of your own and are considering putting out your own albums to sell at gigs. Or perhaps you need to produce a nice-looking demo CD to send to an A&R person at a record company.

Now, what design or image you put on your album cover is, of course, entirely up to you. I’m not going to tell you what to create. Just keep away from black and white cows or four people walking across a pedestrian crossing. It’s been done before, many, many times.

The digital templates are in PDF format that you can download then follow the guidelines given at the end of the book to create your own CD booklets, inlay cards, labels and twelve-inch vinyl sleeves. Good luck!
